PLANNED WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTIONS: OLIFANTSPOORT AND EBENEZER SCHEMES

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents and all stakeholders of 48-hour planned water supply interruptions resulting from critical refurbishment and upgrade work on the Olifantspoort and Ebenezer water supply schemes being undertaken by Lepelle Northern Water (LNW).

These interruptions form part of Phase 1 of the pump station connection and commissioning
process, aimed at significantly improving long-term water supply efficiency and reliability. The
shutdowns are scheduled as follows:

Further shutdowns are expected during July and August 2025 and details will be communicated in due course.
Lepelle Northern Water has indicated that it has developed a mitigation plan to manage water supply during these periods and minimise the impact on consumers within Polokwane Municipality.

Polokwane Municipality urges residents, businesses and institutions to use water sparingly during the affected periods and to store sufficient water in advance where possible.

The municipality apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

For updates and enquiries, please contact our Water and Sanitation Call Centre at 015 290 2376 or report issues via the MyPolokwane Citizen App or send WhatsApp text to 068 290 8736.
