Public Notice – POSTPONEMENT: PLANNED SHUTDOWN OF EBENEZER SCHEME FROM 9 TO 10 APRIL 2024, NOW 15 TO 16 APRIL 2024

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform all stakeholders about the postponement of the planned shutdown Ebenezer Scheme by Lepelle Northern Water.

The shutdown which was supposed to commence on Tuesday, 9th April 2024, is postponed to Monday, 15th April 2024 at 7:00 am and is expected to conclude on Tuesday, 16th April 2024. The replacement and rehabilitation work, which is crucial for the successful completion of the project, is anticipated to take approximately 36 hours to complete.

This will affect all areas of supply within Polokwane Municipality.

The water utility says this decision is in response to the critical need to replace and rehabilitate the Megoring River crossing pipeline, a vital component of the Ebenezer and Olifantspoort upgrade project.

Polokwane Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause; and further urges all affected stakeholders to make the necessary arrangements to mitigate any disruptions during this period.

Cooperation and understanding of all affected stakeholders in this matter are greatly appreciated.
