POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY SHINES BRIGHT AS IT WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR SUSTAINED AUDIT EXCELLENCE
Polokwane, 19 March 2024 – Polokwane Municipality has emerged victorious at the prestigious South African Local Government Association (SALGA) 2022/23 Municipal Awards.
The municipality clinched the coveted award in the category honouring municipalities with sustained unqualified audit opinions, reaffirming its status as a beacon of fiscal responsibility and good governance.

The accolade places Polokwane among the select few “low lying fruits” identified for their potential to attain clean audits, a goal championed by Executive Mayor Cllr Makoro John Mpe.
