UPDATE ON UNPLANNED POWER INTERRUPTIONS

 

Polokwane Municipality advises residents of ongoing unplanned power interruptions affecting multiple customers due to faulty distribution transformers. The municipality’s technical teams remain on the ground attending to all affected areas with urgency.

 

ZONE 1 (Masakaneng): A technical team is on site actively searching for the fault to restore supply as soon as possible.

 

ZONE 3: The faulty transformer has been successfully replaced and power supply has been fully restored.

 

ZONE 6: Power has been partially restored, with full restoration expected around 21h00.

 

ZONE 8: Replacement of the pole-mounted transformer is still underway. Power supply is expected to be restored at approximately 22h00.

 

It should be noted that while the above restoration times serve as estimates, every effort continues to be made to restore electricity earlier where possible.

 

The municipality appreciates the patience and understanding of all residents as we work to stabilise supply.
