POWER OUTAGE AFFECTING NIRVANA AND SURROUNDS

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents that it is aware of the current power outage affecting Nirvana and the surrounding areas. This disruption is due to an incident of cable theft from a mini-substation located on Sapphire Street.

The municipality’s technical teams are on the ground and working with urgency to repair the damage and restore electricity supply as swiftly and safely as possible.

Polokwane Municipality regrets the inconvenience caused and assures affected residents that addressing this matter is a priority.

In the interest of safety, all users are advised to treat all electrical wiring as live during this period. Please ensure that all electrical appliances are switched off to prevent injury or damage when power is restored.

The municipality further urges members of the public to assist in safeguarding its electricity infrastructure by reporting any suspicious activities to the municipality, law enforcement agencies, or the South African Police Service.
