Polokwane is currently the only local municipality in Limpopo Province to be granted *Level 2 Housing Implementation Accreditation Protocol*, an expanded mandate that empowers the municipality to build houses directly within its jurisdiction.

Today, the municipality is officially embarking on a community engagement programme to introduce appointed contractors to traditional authorities in various areas.

These contractors have been designated to implement the delivery 404 Breaking New Ground (BNG) houses in communities falling under the respective traditional authorities accross 21 Wards.

Polokwane is accelerating housing delivery and ensuring that human settlements are developed closer to the needs of its communities.
