#ReagaPolokwane | SAFER CITY OPERATION LEADS TO MULTIPLE ARRESTS AND VEHICLE IMPOUNDMENT POLOKWANE

 

In a joint effort between Polokwane Municipality and law enforcement agencies, ten undocumented foreign nationals were arrested and held at Polokwane SAPS as part of the Safer City operation.

 

This operation, which involved the municipality, police, community policing forum, and other agencies, aims to enhance safety in the city.

 

Additionally, three unroadworthy vehicles were seized during the operation, contributing to efforts to improve road safety. Two individuals were apprehended for drug dealing .

 

Furthermore, the operation led to the closure of three spaza shops found to be operating illegally and selling expired goods in an effort to protect consumers from harmful products and to maintain standards of hygiene and safety.

 

In addition to the arrests and impoundments, seven compliance notices were issued to businesses to emphasise the importance of adhering to regulations and contributing to a safer and more regulated environment in Polokwane.
