Public Notice – STREET CLOSURES FOR STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS – 29 April 2024
Polokwane Municipality will be conducting the State of the City Address by Executive Mayor, Cllr Makoro John Mpe at Jack Botes Hall on Tuesday, 30 April 2024. In order to facilitate the smooth conduct of this event and ensure the safety of all attendees, certain streets will be closed to traffic during specific times.
Affected streets and closure details are as follows:
- Hans van Rensburg Street: Closed between Jorissen Street and Bodenstein Street
- Bodenstein Street: Closed between Hans van Rensburg Street and Church Street
Complete closure for the duration of the State of the City Address:
- Bodenstein Street: Closed between Landros Mare Street and Church Street
As a result of the complete closure, the following streets will be affected:
- Market Street between Rabe Street and Bodenstein Street
- General Joubert Street between Rabe Street and Bodenstein Street
Furthermore, a parade will commence from the Library Gardens at 08:30 AM and proceed
directly to Jack Botes Hall.
Polokwane Municipality requests all residents and road users to plan their routes accordingly
and to cooperate with traffic authorities during the specified times of closure. Cooperation of
all affected is highly appreciated.
