TRAFFIC ALERT: R71/N1 OFF RAMP BYPASS INTERSECTION

Motorists are advised to approach the N1 off ramp/R71 Bypass intersection with caution this evening. The section of the road leading to the Mall of the North has been temporarily closed to allow for urgent repairs to the underground traffic light cables.

A contractor is already on site and directing traffic to ensure safety. The municipality has opted to carry out these works overnight to minimise inconvenience to daytime traffic.

Repairs are expected to be completed by morning.
