POLOKWANE SENDS ITS WARRIORS TO THE WORLD STAGE

 

Today, the Executive Mayor of Polokwane Municipality, Cllr Makoro John Mpe together with the City Manager, Ms Thuso Nemugumoni proudly bid farewell to two outstanding ambassadors of our city — Sensei Peter Malatji, a dedicated municipal employee and Sensei Thomas Sekhale, a distinguished resident of Polokwane.

 

These two champions will be flying the South African flag high as they jet off to Japan to represent our nation in an international karate tournament.

 

Speaking at the send-off, the Executive Mayor reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to nurturing talent across all sporting codes, especially those that safeguard our youth from negative influences.

 

“Karate has the strength to address many societal issues, as it instills discipline. So we stand behind youcas our stars, Sensei Malatji and Sensei Sekhale and wish you a victorious and inspiring performance on the global stage,” said the Executive Mayor.
