WATER SUPPLY UPDATE – KRUGERBURG RESERVOIRS F AND D

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents that Krugerburg Reservoirs F and D are currently at critically low levels due to demand exceeding supply. To stabilise the system and restore capacity, reservoir outlets will be closed from 22:00 to 04:00. This temporary measure is essential to allow the reservoirs to recover and continue supplying affected areas during the day.

Impacted suburbs:

  • Bendor
  • Coke
  • Fauna Park
  • Flora Park
  • Moregloed
  • SAB
  • Serala View

Additional affected areas:

  • Mohlasedi Park, Legae la Batho & Rethabile Gardens: Receiving water from the Sand River Manganese Plant and currently experiencing low pressure and no water in some sections. Technicians are actively investigating to restore supply.
  • Nirvana (Orient Street): A pipe burst is affecting surrounding streets. Repair teams are on site.
  • Penina Park, Ivy Park & Ivydale: Last night’s leak was repaired; however, another leak has been detected further down the line. Teams have been dispatched for assessment and repairs.

At this stage, ETRs remain unknown as investigations and repair work continue.

The municipality sincerely appreciates residents’ patience, cooperation and understanding as it works to resolve these challenges with urgency.
