VANDALISM IMPACTS SESHEGO WATER SUPPLY

Polokwane Municipality regrets to inform residents that the boreholes supplying the Seshego Water Treatment Plant (WTP) have been vandalized. The plant depends largely on raw water from these boreholes, with additional support from the Seshego Dam.

Unfortunately, this act of vandalism has reduced the plant’s output capacity, which means that water supply to Seshego and parts of Blood River may not fully meet demand until the boreholes are repaired and operations are restored.

The municipality’s technical teams are already on site, working tirelessly to repair the damage and normalize the water supply as quickly as possible.

The municipality apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause and calls upon all communities to protect public infrastructure, as it plays a vital role in service delivery for all.
