UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY CHALLENGES
Most areas of supply within Polokwane Municipality are currently experiencing water shortages. This is due to recurring power dip challenges experienced by the municipality’s bulk supplier, Lepelle Northern Water, affecting both the Ebenezer and Olifantspoort lines since last week.
The Ebenezer line, in particular, continues to suffer constant stoppages, including this morning, which has severely disrupted the flow of water into Polokwane and further impacted the municipality’s ability to provide consistent supply.
The municipality is closely monitoring the situation and remains in continuous engagement with the bulk supplier to restore stability. In the meantime, Polokwane Municipality is implementing temporary relief measures to lessen the impact on its communities.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused.
