THE FIRE CAME HUNGRY BUT POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY SERVED IT A COLD PLATE OF DEFEAT

 

This afternoon, Polokwane Municipality responded to a devastating fire that broke out at the corner of Paul Kruger and Rissik Streets, destroying Hungry Lion and Tip Top shops.

 

The scene carried the weight of loss for business owners, employees and the community that depends on them.

 

In the midst of the destruction, Polokwane Municipality’s Fire and Rescue Services responded swiftly and decisively. Their efforts ensured that the blaze was contained before it spread to neighbouring properties, sparing the city from greater devastation.

 

We are deeply relieved that no injuries or casualties were reported. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, our thoughts are with those affected, whose livelihoods have been shaken by this tragedy.
