RESTORATION OF WATER SUPPLY IN POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY
Water supply has been successfully restored across most areas that were recently affected by shortages and low pressure. These areas include various Extensions, Luthuli Park, Emdo Park and surrounding areas, as well as Seshego.
The shortage was a result of a reduced flow rate from the bulk supplier, Lepelle Northern Water, which led to critically low reservoir levels. In addition, supply to Serala View has also been restored following the completion of repair works on a burst pipe at the corner of De Wet and Mamba Streets.
The municipality is currently investigating supply challenges still being experienced in Zone 4, Seshego and updates will be provided as progress is made.
Residents in areas that may still be experiencing interruptions are encouraged to report these via the MyPolokwane Citizen App (available on all major app stores), the dedicated Water and Sanitation Call Centre at 015 290 2376, or via WhatsApp on 068 290 8736.
The municipality appreciates the patience and cooperation of all residents during this period.
End!
