PLANNED TEMPORARY SHUTDOWN OF DAP NAUDÉ PIPELINE

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents of a temporary shutdown of the Dap Naudé pipeline from Wednesday, 13 August 2025 to Thursday, 14 August 2025.

This planned interruption is necessary to enable the connection of the recently repaired section of the pipeline at the river crossing before Dalmada Water Treatment Plant. The shutdown will affect areas supplied by the Potgieter Reservoir, including parts of Bendor, parts of the City, parts of Westenburg, parts of Nirvana and parts of Ladanna.

To minimise inconvenience, arrangements have been made to:

• Prioritise the filling of the Potgieter Reservoir before the shutdown.
• Deploy water tankers to affected areas where necessary.

Polokwane Municipality appeals to all affected residents to use water sparingly during this period and to make the necessary preparations in advance.

The municipality appreciates patience and cooperation of all affected users as it carries out this essential work to ensure a more reliable and efficient water supply system.
