MAYORAL LEADERSHIP DRIVING CHANGE IN POLOKWANE’S WATER SYSTEM

Today, Executive Mayor of Polokwane Municipality, Cllr Makoro John Mpe led a special mayoral project visit to the Sand River North Water Treatment Plant Project.

This critical project, which commenced in August 2019, has faced historical challenges, yet remarkable progress has been made, with 83% of the work now complete.

Once finalised, the plant will significantly strengthen Polokwane’s water system and bring much-needed relief to households and businesses across across the municipality.

Executive Mayor Mpe called on everyone involved in the project to put all hands on deck and remain fully committed to delivering lasting water solutions — ensuring that every family and every community enjoys the benefits of reliable, improved access to this life-giving resource.

He was joined on the visit by the Chairperson of the Water and Sanitation Portfolio Committee, Members of the Mayoral Committee, Counillors, the City Manager and municipal officials.
