LABORIA SUBSTATION – EMERGENCY POWER OUTAGE
Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform members of the public that all areas currently without electricity and supplied from the Laboria Substation will remain off for approximately five (5) hours.
This follows an incident in which an 11kV switchgear exploded, resulting in an emergency shutdown to ensure public safety and allow for urgent repair work.

- Emdo Park
- Extension 29
- FuturaLaboria
- Lesedi Park
- Mahlako a Phahla
- Mahlasedi Park
- Portion of Ladanna
- Rethabile Gardens
AFFECTED MUNICIPAL SERVICE FACILITIES
- Water Treatment Plant
- Traffic and Licensing Centre
- Fire and Rescue Department
Due to the outage, water supply to the above-mentioned areas will also be impacted.
Traffic and Licensing Centre is currently operating on limited capacity. Only driving licence card collections are being processed.
For registrations and other licensing services, residents are advised to visit the Provincial Office at the corner of Rissik and Potgieter Street.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience.
