ELECTRICITY SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN EXT 91 INDUSTRIAL AREA AND
PORTIONS OF STERPARK

 

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents, businesses and stakeholders that it is
aware of electricity supply interruption affecting the Industrial area of Extension 91,
which has been off since this morning.

 

The outage is due to a fault on the 11kV cable from the Delta Substation, which has
impacted power supply to several areas, including:

 

o WeBuyCars
o New Boxer Store
o Michelle Crescent
o Ramohlale Industrial
o Katelyn Industrial Area
o Prince Hussein Street
o Freshmark and surrounding properties

 

In addition, a transformer from the same Delta Substation blew this evening, resulting
in a secondary outage affecting a portion of Sterpark and surrounding areas.

 

Municipal technical teams are attending to both faults concurrently to restore supply.

 

Customers are strongly advised to treat all electrical wiring as live during this period
and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury or damage when power is restored.

 

Polokwane Municipality apologises for the inconvenience and appreciates patience and
understanding from all affected while it works to restore power.
