HOLDING THE POOPEDI FAMILY CLOSE IN THE ARMS OF OUR CITY

[WATCH] Today, the heart of Polokwane beat in unison with the Poopedi family, a family torn by tragedy and wrapped in grief.

Led by the Executive Mayor, Cllr Makoro John Mpe, a municipal delegation walked into their home to offer words and to share in their sorrow, to sit in silence where words fall short and to remind them that they are not alone.

“We will continue to support them, even beyond the burial, to lift the family from poverty and guarantee a better future,” said the Executive Mayor with compassion.

In times like these, Polokwane Municipality remembers its soul that the municipality is a community of hearts that hold one another when the weight of loss becomes too heavy to bear.

May the Poopedi family find comfort in knowing that an entire municipality stands beside them.
