Hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, under the leadership of Honourable MEC Nakedi Kekana, the event highlights the urgent need to strengthen food security, empower rural communities and promote sustainable agricultural practices across Limpopo.

 

In his address, the Executive Mayor reaffirms Polokwane’s commitment to building resilient, food-secure communities and reminds residents that giving a tree is one of the greatest gifts we can offer each other – a lasting symbol of life, nourishment and hope for generations to come.

 

Polokwane Municipality has also donated 50 fruit trees and 10 shade trees to support household food production and community greening initiatives in the area.
