LOCAL “CABLE COLLECTORS” BUSTED
So, these two enterprising gentlemen from Ga-Mashashane decided to take a casual morning “shopping spree” near Tom Naude Park with no receipts, no permission, just very questionable luggage.
Unfortunately for them, their idea of retail therapy involved a bundle of electric cables, a hacksaw and a slasher knife… basically, the full “infrastructure destruction” starter kit.
Instead of cashing in, they cashed out straight into a pair of shiny, government-issued bracelets courtesy of Polokwane police. Witnesses say they were found sprawled on the pavement, looking like their grand master plan had just been unplugged mid-sentence.
One minute you’re chasing cables, the next you’re catching charges.
They are now in custody facing charges for tampering with essential infrastructure and possession of suspected stolen property. Safe to say, where they’re headed, they won’t be needing those tools – the only thing they’ll be cutting is time… and definitely not cables.
