CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE SECOND SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL – SV02 (GVR2024/2029) AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS FOR THE PERIOD OF 20 APRIL 2026 TO 31 MAY 2026

 

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with Section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004) as amended, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Act’, that the Second Supplementary Valuation Roll – SV02 (GVR2024/2029) for the 2025/2026 financial year will be open for public inspection at the Municipal Offices, c/o Landros Mare & Bodenstein Streets, Polokwane, as well as on the Municipality’s website www.polokwane.gov.za from 20 April 2026 to 31 May 2026.

 

An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) read together with Section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the Supplementary Valuation Roll within the above mentioned period.

 

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll as such.

 

The prescribed forms for the lodging of objections are obtainable at the following Municipal Offices: Civic Centre Rates Hall (Polokwane), Seshego, Mankweng, Sebayeng and Aganang or on the website www.polokwane.gov.za.

 

The completed forms must be returned to the following address: The Municipal Manager, P.O. Box 111, Polokwane, 0700 or submitted at any of the above-mentioned offices.
