INTERGOVERNMENTAL UNITY DRIVING ROADS DELIVERY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Intergovernmental relations and the District Development Model are living commitments to bring services closer to the people.

Today, that commitment takes a practical and powerful form as Honourable MEC for Public Works together with the Executive Mayor of Polokwane, Cllr Makoro John Mpe lead a critical engagement between provincial and local government.

 

At the heart of the discussions lies one shared mission: accelerating service delivery. Key priorities include strengthening roads infrastructure, addressing unregistered state properties and advancing the long-awaited devolution of D-Roads to the municipality — a step that will bring decision-making closer to communities and ensure faster, more responsive maintenance.
