A DAY OF UNSTOPPABLE LEADERSHIP IN ACTION
On a typical Friday in service of the people who entrusted him with responsibility, the Executive Mayor of Polokwane Municipality, Cllr Makoro John Mpe moved through the day with purposeful stride and firm focus.
Before the sun had fully risen, at the crack of dawn, he was already live on Thobela FM, speaking in his capacity as SALGA Chairperson on the pressing issue of municipal debts owed by government departments, a conversation anchored on accountability and strengthening municipal finances.
By 08h00, he was engaging the SABC TV and Radio News crew, giving the nation a glimpse into Polokwane’s readiness to host the much-anticipated Carling Knockout, a major sporting attraction that positions the city as a thriving hub for sport tourism.
At 09h00, duty called at the Chamber as he joined Council for a Special Council Meeting, steering key decisions that shape the developmental trajectory of the municipality.
Late morning at 11h00, he travelled to Botshega Village in Ga-Molepo, where he joined MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development Mme Nakedi Kekana for the Provincial World Food Day commemoration, championing food security, sustainable agriculture and community empowerment.
And as the afternoon unfolds, at 14h00, the Executive Mayor is on the ground in Ward 27 alongside Cllr Bobby Muthabine for a Community Outreach Programme, bringing government services directly to the people, where it matters most.
