WATER SUPPLY UPDATE

 

Polokwane Municipality has received an update from Lepelle Northern Water regarding water supply situation from Olifantspoort:

• There is currently an electronic and instrumentation fault affecting Pump Station 3. The pumps are tripping (starting and stopping), which is disrupting consistent pumping.

 

The electrical team is on site and working tirelessly to resolve the issue. They are currently operating the system manually to adapt to the new pump conditions.

 

At this stage, only one pump is running, delivering 350 litres per second, still below the required 580 litres per second.

 

The municipality will share further updates as soon as they become available.

 

The municipality further apologises for the inconvenience caused.
