News 31 July 2020.jpeg

Residents and businesses in Westenburg and Seshego are notified of water interruption on their supply lines.

On the line to Seshego, a 400 millimeter (mm) high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe was burnt, allegedly by people making fires under the bridge on Nelson Mandela Drive next to Ext 78 (Disteneng).

Another team is deployed to work on the Westenburg line which was fixed earlier in the day but the line is currently experiencing another unplanned outflow.

Both water supply lines to Seshego and Westenburg have been stopped to enable the water team to fix the lines. The line to Seshego is expected to take more time due to its size.

Water supply shall be restored once the pipes are fixed. In the meantime, the municipality will continue with water tankers in the affected areas.

Polokwane Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused during this trying time; and further urges all to report vandalism of service infrastructure to police and water challenges to municipal water and sanitation call centre at 015 023 5376 / 5629.
