Skip Navigation LinksPublic Notice - Dredging work to commence this week - 20 May 2019

Water shortage is expected in most parts of the municipality including the city due to repairs at Ebenezer Dam.

The municipality received a report about water supply disruption from Ebenezer after the activity was suspended last week.

Lepelle Northern Water says divers from the Department of Water Affairs will be commencing with emergency removal of malfunctioning hydraulic cylinders from the Ebenezer Dam from Thursday, 23 May 2019. This means four to five hours of pumping water to Polokwane will be lost daily until the work is finished. It is not yet clear when this process will be finished.

The municipality will deploy water tankers in affected areas. Areas receiving water are urged to use water sparingly.

The municipality appreciates your patience and understanding during this difficult period.
