Since 2002, people were registering their names on the waiting list, the waiting list was only catering for people earning between R0 – R3500. During 2008/09 financial year, housing database was developed. The concept of housing data base reflects the following issues:
•Housing demand in respect of qualification criteria outlined in the National Housing Code, in particular, income category.
•It also reflects housing need in Polokwane Municipality.
•Covering low income category group; middle income; high middle income and high income group.
•It also reflects tenure options; rental options; rent to buy option; sectional title deed and ownership.
•Different age groups are also covered in the housing database.
To date, a total number of 35 598 registered their names on our housing database.
