Polokwane Municipality is proudly commemorating Youth Month with a vibrant Youth Agri-Trade Fair taking place at Mandela Village, Ga-Mashashane.

Assistant Manager Lucas Tisane shared that the initiative aims to tackle youth unemployment by unlocking opportunities in agriculture. “We want to inspire our young people to view farming not just as a job, but as a powerful tool to fight poverty and create sustainable livelihoods,” he said.

Under the theme “Strengthening Youth Farmers and Local Food Systems”, the fair brings together local emerging farmers, small businesses and agricultural exhibitors to share knowledge on: farming as a career; lung disease prevention; access to markets; and inspiring success stories.
